Guild Rules
- Be honorable
- I want our guild to be made up of players others will look up to.
- No profanity
- This includes guild chat, party chat, and otherwise. Some members
have children who will see it and most kids are smart enough to know how
to turn off the profanity filter.
- No Ninjas
- I don't think this needs an explanation.
- No begging or selling in guild chat
- There will be no asking guild mates for gold, items, whatever.
- I would encourage you to share what you cannot use with your guild
mates but there is NO obligation to do so. If you need money then feel
free to sell it on the auction house. But do not spam the guild chat
with your sales.
- This also includes begging higher levels to "Run" you through an
instance. If you have quests in an instance, you can schedule an
instance in the Group Calendar add-on or ask guild mates to come do it
with you.
- Have fun
- I want everyone in the guild to have fun but this should not be at
the expense of others. I expect all guild members to be considerate of
other guild members and attend guild events they are able to attend.
Remember, this goes both ways, if someone cannot come help at a certain
event, be considerate of their needs as well.
Loot Rules
When you are grouped, if you see sparkles,
ALWAYS check the
corpse for loot. However, you should
ALWAYS wait until everyone
has been resurrected, online, and/or in range before looting so everyone will
have a chance at rolling.
For most groups we will simply use the standard group looting system. If you need the item,
just click the dice to roll need. If the item is BOE
(Bind On Equip) and you don't need it, then click the coins to roll greed. If the item is BOPU (Bind On Pick-Up) and you don't need it for main spec, then
roll greed if you can use the item as an off-spec, otherwise pass. If there is
an enchanter and no one needs the item then the enchanter can pick up the item
to disenchant it otherwise everyone can do a /roll when everyone passes to
vendor the item.
- One epic item per person per instance--items that you roll on for off-spec that no one else needs will not be counted as your one epic.
- If you already received an epic item and another epic that you need drops, then if no one else in the raid needs it, you can have the second epic item.
- Any items that are BOPU and not needed by anyone will be DEd (Disenchanted) and the shards sent to the Guild Vault.
- You may not roll and then ask to have your BOPU item sent to another player
- You may not at any time say that you want exclusive privileges to an item that may drop in a raid. Any person that needs an item that drops may need roll. Priority will only be granted by class, i.e., a hunter will get priority on any guns/bows that drop.
For WotLK raid instances, we will be using the Master Looter system and DKP.
For an explanation of what DKP is click on this
link.
DKP Rules-WotLK
DKP and raid positions will be awarded as follows:
- 10 mins before a raid is scheduled to start, everyone signed up to the raid will be invited.
- Invites will be repeated till 5 mins before raid start time for everyone signed up to raid that night.
- One boss kill in DKP will be awarded to everyone in the raid group (1 DKP for 10 man raid and 2 DKP for 25 man raids).
- Members of the raid that are rank Champion or higher will be assigned raid positions first.
- Online guild members that are rank Champion or higher that did not sign up will then be invited and assigned raid positions second.
- Members of the raid that are rank Knight and signed up will be assigned raid positions third.
- Remaining raid slots will be filled by Knights and then by Paiges and then by Initiates.
- Members of the raid that signed up but have their raid positions filled by higher ranking guild members will be put on standby but free to do other activities.
- One DKP for 10 man raids and two DKP for 25 man raids will be awarded to everyone in the raid with each boss kill.
- At the end of the raid, one boss kill in DKP will be awarded to everyone in the raid that was present for the entire run.
Essentially, if you sign up for a raid, show up on time, and stay for the entire raid, you will receive bonus DKP equal to two boss kills even if we down zero bosses.
If anyone signs up to raid and does not show up, they will be penalized one boss kill in DKP. Any Champion who no-shows may also receive a demotion to Knight. The penalty can be revoked if the player deposits gold (amount TBD later) into the guild vault and the non-attendance will be wiped from the player’s record.
Items will be bid on using the E-bay method:
- The master looter (ML) will do: /ra [item link] PST bids to <raid leader name>
- The ML will repeat that for every biddable item that drops assigning each different item to a different raid leader.
- Players will send a bid in DKP units to the raid leader assigned to that item, minimum bid will be one boss kill DKP.
- Highest bid will win the item; there will be no second bids.
- The bidder will be charged the next highest bid plus one DKP with one boss kill DKP being the minimum charge.
For example: Ravenous bids 10 DKP for an item and the next highest bid was 2 DKP; Ravenous wins and gets charged 3 DKP. If no one else had bid, then Ravenous gets charged 2 DKP.
Since re-specing will be easier after WoTLK, if anyone wishes to bid on an item and they are wiling to spend the DKP, they may do so for even “off-spec” items.
No one may bid more than the DKP they have at the START of the raid. Anyone who wins a bid which turns out to be more than what they had at the START of the raid, will be charged double the DKP. Players are responsible for knowing how much DKP they have and they may not ask a raid leader to check.
If a player has zero DKP, he may not bid for any item that run, but if anything drops that no one else bids for; he may roll for it and be charged one boss kill DKP for that item.
If we have to pug players, then bidding will be suspended for any items the pug players need and we’ll do a /roll for that item and one boss kill DKP will be charged to the winner. I will never exclude pug players from rolling on loot, as I see it, if they weren’t present, we wouldn’t have been able to get the loot in the first place so they have a right to roll.
